Wherever you are in your journey, we welcome you and your family in joining ours.

Torah School restarts Sunday August 23rd- online for now, in-person as soon as we can.

Temple Beth Israel's Torah School is an inclusive educational program that develops our students' Jewish identity and their personal connection to Jewish tradition and to each other.

We celebrate Jewish culture, ritual, and ethics by building meaningful relationships among
students, making education accessible and relevant, and involving parents in their
children’s Jewish learning.  We respect and encourage each student’s unique ability to interpret and
contribute to this journey, in order to prepare and empower them and their families for
a lifelong process of doing so.

During the stay-at-home order in LA County, our teachers send instructional materials and links online, and classes are conducted on Zoom. We still meet as usual, we still learn and sing our prayers together, and we still celebrate Shabbat and holidays. Our Torah School meets every Sunday morning (online), and students and families are encouraged to take part in family Friday programming and events throughout the year.

Each year builds on previous experiences, fostering relationships with our community and our heritage.

Our Torah School offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 7, working towards the TBI Bar/Bat Mitzvah program. Once our students graduate, they stay involved with the Torah School and the Temple through our Madrichim program.

What our students and parents love the most...
