Tashlich 2022

Tashlich in Highland Park! Bring your family, friends, neighbors and dogs, as well as some breadcrumbs! You do not want to miss this beautiful community ritual on Rosh Hashana!

What is Tashlich? Tashlich which translates to “casting off,” is a ceremony usually performed on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashana wherein Jews symbolically cast off the sins/mistakes of the previous year by tossing pebbles or bread crumbs into flowing water. We will meet in the Arroyo Seco next to the Dog Park. The ritual will be led by TBI's Senior Rabbi, Jason Rosner.

This event is Free.

Tashlich Location

Tashlich will be at Hermon Dog Park: 5568 Via Marisol, Los Angeles 90042 (between Monterey Road and the Arroyo Seco Parkway/110 Freeway).

From the 110 (Arroyo Seco Parkway) exit Via Marisol and turn right. Turn left into the Hermon Park driveway and go past the tennis courts to the end of the parking lot. Walk under the overpass and you’ve arrived. The entrance to the river is on your left.
