Spend 6 weeks learning Hebrew decoding with our rabbinic intern Simcha Howard!

This course is designed for adults who want to learn how to read Hebrew with confidence — whether you’re brand new, returning after many years, or looking to strengthen your foundations for prayer and Jewish learning.

Together, we’ll work step by step through the Hebrew alphabet, vowels, and core decoding skills, building fluency in a supportive and encouraging environment. The focus is on practical reading ability, especially for navigating siddur Hebrew, rather than grammar or conversational Hebrew. No prior Hebrew experience is required.

The course will begin with one Zoom session (January 14th) and then continue in person at TBI. Classes will be interactive, accessible, and paced to meet students where they are, with plenty of time for questions and practice.
