Holding events at TBI

Temple Beth Israel was built in the 1930s. It has a sense of rootedness that is found in few other Los Angeles synagogues. Our garden is filled with fruit trees and seasonal flowers. It is a site that reflects the history and aesthetic of the city. We have the capacity for 100 in the sanctuary space and 60 in the social hall. The building also contains a large kitchen, which may be used for vegetarian food according to our kosher guidelines.

Facility fees for private events are:
$750 - 4 hours (minimum)
$1500 - 8 hours
$2500 - anything over 8 hours, up to 18 hours (for prep the night before)

$250 deposit will be held and returned if the temple is in good condition. Film shoots or other corporate events must be fully insured. Kitchen use requires an additional $250 non-refundable fee.

We also consider filming (rates upon inquiry).

TBI members in good standing renting the facilities for a private event get a 50% discount, though this discount does not apply to the cleaning deposit and kitchen fee. Fees can also be reduced or waived by the board or by the event coordinator in consultation with the board.
