Family Friday Shabbat Service
Friday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Family-friendly, for little kids and their parents, led by Mark Strunin. A pre-Purim themed service reading a children's version of the Purim story in all its glory. Always fun - everyone welcome.
Purim!!
Sunday, March 22, 2007, 6:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The children's (and adult's) activity for March is Purim!! For the adults, Jayne and Joel will put on a Kosher wine tasting - Not your father's kosher wines! For kids, and drunk adults, we will have a costume parade. Mark says: "Kids and adults come dressed in Purim Story costumes - king, queen, princess, evil Haman, good Mordechai, soldiers, harem girls etc. Let's try to stay away from Spidermans or Teletubbies (not found in any extant version of the Purim tale)." Call Ed for info at (323) 255-4331. And there's a Purim Poetry Contest. Submit your work about Purim and/or the story of Purim by March 21 to strumark@earthlink.net for inclusion in the Purim Poems Anthology.

Our congregant-led Friday night service. Some off the beaten path, some on.
Pre-Pesach Brunch
Sunday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m.
We have to clear the bread out of our refrigerator in preaparation for Passover. Once again Jayne will make delicious French toast out of this challah, which really does make the best French toast.
Congregational Meeting
Sunday, April 6 at 11:00 a.m.
We have to have a congregational meeting once a year to maintain our non-profit status. Come if you have ideas or want to give input. We need people to run for the board - the requirement is to be a member. Currently you have to be a paid-up member of the congregation for two years to run for the board, but we will be voting on a bylaws change to reduce the requirement to one year.
Movie Showing
Sunday, April 6 after the congregational meeting
Each year we show a Jewish-themed movie in the social hall. If you stay through the congregational meeting, you get to see it.
Passover Seder, Second Night
Sunday, April 20 at 5:30 p.m.
Our second-night Seder consistently fills our social hall. A full dinner, a full evening, good food and companionship. We must have your reservation and money by April 11. You can pay by check or online - further details on the money page. The Seder including dinner should last about two hours.
Shofar Raffle
Drawing August 8
Last year we auctioned off a handsome shofar for the High Holidays, and people liked the idea, so we're doing it again. We will supply a lesson if you want one. Buy tickets on the money page.
