Second City Meets Second Seder
Be part of our in-the-moment, light hearted, PG rated presentation of the Exodus Story in play format. Shout Dayeinu to those long Hebrew Haggadah passages and become one of the personae dramaticas (i.e. actors) we will pick on the spot to be read from a humorous - but respectfully - retelling. Ten juicy roles for kids and adults. Everyone with positive attitudes are welcomed to join in - please, no bitter Herbs . . . or Herbettes!
Pre-Seder Exercise for the Spiritually Inclined
Food plays a deep symbolic role in our Seder celebration which is a ritual of remembrance of our freedom from Egypt. Before you come to the Seder, think about how food items like parsley, matzah, bitter herbs, wine, salt water, charoset, roasted eggs and the rest symbolizes ancient rituals, prayers of gratitude, and moments of drama. What else could be added to the Seder table to help us remember?
Bring one or more of these " word completions" to our Seder to share with others.
My Personal Seder Symbol
If I could, I would add _________________________________ to the Seder table as a symbol of _________________________________ and as a remembrance of the idea of ____________________________________________________________ that Passover teaches us.
